Job Description: Director Database Administration The Role Fidelity Data Architecture & Engineering is seeking an experienced Director Database Administration to join our Data Operations CoE. This individual will join the Database, Data lake operations, DevSecOps & Platform Engineering teams providing end-to-end support on a wide range of products and services supporting FDA, CTG & ETGS functions. It requires a person who has extensive experience in managing mission critical RDBMS systems and provide technical direction and solutions related to various DBMS implementations that are in scope. Demonstrated experience in provisioning, configuring and managing Tier-0 and Tier-1 systems on various platforms like Oracle, DB2, SQL server, Postgres & Yugabyte (nice to have) etc. Education Qualifications: Bachelors degree or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent experience 10 years of Application DBA with a focus on one or more of DBMS systems like Oracle, DB2, SQL server, Postgres and Yugabyte DBA with in-depth knowledge of Oracle High available configurations & Performance optimization techniques. 3 yrs of other RDBMS like PostgreSQL, SQL server or MongoDB 4 years of Golden Gate 3-way replication 3 years working experience on AWS Cloud including EC2, RDS & Aurora 5 years of Performance tuning and query optimizations 2 years of DBA experience on Yugabyte (nice to have) 3 years of Database migrations from on-premises to public cloud Experience in configuring Monitoring tools like Data Dog, OEM Automation using shell or Python for proactive detection DevOps pipeline experience ( nice to have) The Expertise and Skills You Bring Your ability to support multiple RDBMS like Postgres, Snowflake, SQL server, DB2 & MongoDB in addition to Oracle You bring 10 years of SQL & PL/SQL experience or other Database programming languages Your able to participate in DB design discussions and offer consulting services to Business and Data modelers. Your able to participate in Logical/Physical design discussions with Architects and Application teams. You bring the competencies and Architectures related to High Availability, Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity. You bring the experience in backend programming languages like PL/SQL, T-SQL etc. You have scripting experience with Unix shell, Python, Perl, C, You are familiar with Java, J2EE, Embedded SQL, Forms, Reports, etc. You are able to support other RDBMS like Postgres, Snowflake, SQL server, DB2 & Netezza Your able bring Application experts and other infrastructure teams together for finding optimal solutions to issues related to capacity, security, performance The Senior DBA will be expected to be an Oracle technical expert in database domain. The Team Data Operations CoE is a group of Database Engineers, DevSecOps, Platform Engineers who provide end-to-end support for all Data operations including Capacity planning, user/role provisioning, Administration, Database security and Platform stability within Fidelity Data Architecture and Engineering. We cater services to Enterprise Technology on platforms like Snowflake, Oracle, DB2, SQL server and various tools within Data ecosystem that serves various business units like CTG, ECC, ECS, EI, Risk & Audit teams.
